Kamieniołomy Club = fail Print E-mail

Kamieniołomy Club = fail

Today, I went to the supermarket with Kasia. The supermarket is different than the small grocery store across the street from my house. The store by my house is more like a convenience store with a produce section. The supermarket, however, was almost as big as a Jewel in Chicago. The bid difference was that the labels were all in Polish, but thankfully this time Kasia was able to translate for me! :) That is how I got feta cheese. Hooray!
I had decided yesterday that I would be brave and go to one of the orientation week parties thrown by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) at the University of Warsaw. The one tonight promised 90s music and a summer throwback. It sounded fun, party started at 10pm.

Kamieniołmy Club was supposed to be right by school. I took the bus to school and walked around for 30-40 minutes trying to find the place. The views were really beautiful, so instead of passing through like I was doing, I stopped to "smell the roses" and take some pictures. Now it's almost an hour later, and I still couldn't find the freakin' club. I knew I was close, but I just couldn't find it. I had just given up when I saw the sign smack dab in front of me. I couldn't believe that I'd walked past the place about four times without seeing it. In my defense though, it is not a very obvious sign.

Since I found it, i ventured inside, but to my dismay, it was not the 90s music I remembered, it was smoky, and after walking around for a few minutes hearing conversations in unidentifiable languages, I decided the club scene is just not my style. So, I left. The timing worked out rather well though, because I caught the last bus of the evening to my area. The 20 minute bus ride and a 10 minute walk later, I was back home.
